A new pop-up pizza restaurant is open.

Mo Dough is opening in the Alcester Road building previously occupied by The Cross, offering specialist woodfired pizzas and craft beers.

The pop-up is the latest venture for Keith Marsden, owner of Moseley pub The Prince of Wales.

After buying out the majority shareholder of The Cross, Keith is putting together a new business plan for the building.

But as licences are secured and plans finalised, the pizza restaurant is filling a gap for three to four months.

The cocktail team at The Prince have compiled a new list of drinks for Mo Dough with hard-to-find spirits, and the bar will serve a range of Amercian-style canned beers, plus a range from local brewery Purity.

The pub has been furnished with recycled wooden pallets and the plan is for relaxed dining during the week, with live music at weekends.

The eatery has challenged pizza eaters to come up with the ideal pizza topping combination, pledging not only to put the winning pizza on their menu but to award the winner a free one every week for as long as the restaurant is open.
